We learned and suffered for the Gun Wedge issue in 2000 when Gore lost his home state and we suffered an attack on 9-11, two wars of choice and a Great Recession.

No competent candidate should ever support a repeal of the 2nd A., because, a) prohibitions never work; and b) the cost to enforce such a ban would be too expensive and create a huge black market.

Once again, however, the GOP and their fellow travelers will campaign on wedge issues (guns, gays, god and character assassinatons) and not on what is best for the country and We the People.

So this woman was videotaped without her knowledge telling supporters that she wanted guns banned, but added she can't say that in public because she'd lose the election in upstate New York. Darn, I guess so --- I'm not surprised her campaign manager quit. Candidate caught in an open lie, whoops, makes it hard.
