Cain: Black community 'brainwashed' into voting for Dems

Romney has pretty much locked up Republicans in Georgia. Cain is a few points behind him but Romney has the big ticket supporters here in and out of government.
Who gives a fuck if he is a Mormon?

For all you dumb asses here:
It would be DEMOCRATS that were in total control for DECADES when there was segregation here.
I know. I have lived here for 56 years. There was not a Republican IN SIGHT anywhere.
Well DUH.

Yes the Dems have always wanted blacks repressed, they have used these Americans as pawns for 50 years. It's sad, they don't give a crap about them, they want their vote.

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.

During the civil rights era of the 1960s, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision ending school segregation. Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman's issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was Eisenhower who actually took action to effectively end segregation in the military.

This is very, very sad but oh so true.

Dems want to keep the blacks beneath them, they want them dependent on government. Oh sure one or two like Herman Cain, Bill Cosby, Sammy Davis, Jr. realize this. They managed to get out but they can't convince the rest they can do it too.

It's really a shocker when (and if) they realize Reverand Martin Luther King was a Republican. He was conservative and walked with the Lord. Everything they are against is what he was for. Yes, I would have to say they are completely brainwashed. It's sad and scary to think a politician doesn't want them to succeed. That's why men like Herman Cain scare the crap out of them.

So conservatives were behind the black American civil rights movement?

Who does Herman Cain scare the crap out of?

Louis Farakhan preaches black self-reliance, is he like Herman Cain?

So are you saying MLK, Jr was a liberal?? King's Niece: MLK, A Social Conservative - US - CBN News - Christian News 24-7 - CBN.com

Herman Cain scares the crap out of Dems, because he is a success story. He broke out of the chains the Dems want to keep around blacks.

I don't give a crap what Louis Farakhan preaches, he certainly isn't any MLK.

Great book. Also, read LBJ's autobiography. He speaks of when he traveled cross country with a black woman that was an assistant in his house, not a maid but more than that. LBJ was a Senator and this woman had to go hundreds of miles to pee in the back of where ever he could find. And he was appalled as he should be. MLK had a great influence on LBJ as he had the Civil Rights Act passed. That did a lot for black Americans and aligned them with the Democrats. They were in power but it was Republicans also that helped that bill.
Fact is that it was southern Democrats that were the biggest opposition to Civil Rights Act.
You can never hide from that fact. I lived it, saw it and watched my family fight for equality for all during those times. I thank God every day that my parents and grand parents raised ME RIGHT! It was such a blessing to see all that end and have many black team and class mates from high school through college to this day.

so ur saying that dems want to keep the black man enslaved in poverty by giving them welfre? Why do republcans when in power not eliminate these programs?

When they try they're called "racists" and most republicans (before the tea party) were a bunch of pussys that would give anyone who called them racists what they want. The CRA is a perfect example of that.

Black Americans are disproportionately less wealthy than the average American, disproportionately poor, low income, working class, etc.

The centerpiece of Herman Cain's domestic economic plan is a tax scheme that would cut taxes for the richer,

and raise taxes on the poorer.

Why on earth would he expect black Americans to give him widespread support?

They'd have to be braindead, not brainwashed.
Really? Got a link where Cain is quoted as saying that?

The Republican Party in the 1860s was not the Republican party of today. Same with the Democrats.

Yeah right, democrats have always been federalists and republicans had a brief laps from about 1956-2008 of favoring government and really ignoring true republican ideals.

Republicans are finally starting to get back to their roots and democrats are swaying closer to socialism...

Few years ago republicans were lost and now democrats are lost ...

Fiscally, they were liberal.
Were the Republicans in the north liberal or conservative?
Back then we did not have the partisan hack bufoonery "liberal" or "conservative" distinctions on every issue.
We had more problems back then BY FAR, but things got done.
Not so anymore with the left versus right, "liberal" versus "conservative" BULL SHIT.
Most folks have no clue what either is as they make up their own definitions.
Hang it up. The world is not liberal versus conservative.
