I like Bush but I really think the reason why he and the republican got kicked out was the change in the republican base. I have noticed a more Ron Paul libertarian leaning in the party starting to develop and I think that weakened the support for old school conservatives. That is just my belief and I think that if the republican party doesn't understand this they will be swept away by another political force.
