Unbelievable, The democrats want to pay for peoples homes

How the fuck can the government decide which house gets help, and which does not? Which people are more equal than others? There is no way that the government can make that giveaway equally across the entire country.

How come the MSM doesn't blare this kind of bullshit?

The federal government has been actively involved in public housing and finance since the New Deal of the liberal Democrats, who created Social Security, and later on created MediCare.

No Constitutional Amendments have been apparently required to do all of that. Even now, there is Great National Health Insurance.

The federal government is empowered to create public housing in Article I, Section 8. That section probably explains all the highways. "Pavement" and "ashphalt," even, however: Are not specified in the Constitution. Most things government procures and spends on: Are not specified in the Constitution.

But no Amendments have been required to support the concept of Public Housing, going on almost 100 years.

This would seem to be a reply to a bogus post, from someone who displays military insignia: The emblems which actually get Americans killed, and now in the recent "Surge" in Afghanistan, are creating new Taliban daily!

Such persons of the display are already shown to be the intenders of killings of Americans, directly and in that manner of increasing anti-American hostilities world-wide.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Teepees of Native, Real Americans, even: Are not mentioned in the Constitution! How Un-American can a document be(?)!)

Both those unemployed and those with mortgages higher then current value. The Government has no authority at all in the Constitution to do this with tax money.

Makes more sense than bailing out the banks. I thought they should have done this in the first place. Give the money to the people buying the homes, they give the money to the banks, and everybody makes out. The way our government did it, it screwed the entire country except for the bank CEOs.

Retired.........let me tell you something. The housing crisis is exactly because in the 1990's, Clintons regulation of the housing market led to millions of homes being given away through Fannie and Freddie. If you came to get a mortage with a box of cracker jacks in your back pocket, you got a mortgage!!! So they've been doing this for years........they're just making it slightly less covert these days!!

WRONG. The government policy promoting mortgages to those who couldn't afford them brought on the financial crisis (look up Community Reinvestment Act). That plus the crooks in Fannie, Freddie, and Countrywide, protected by Obama and Dodd, kept the scam going.

The banks, and the bank investors were the victims. Then to avoid financial collapse the Feds LOANED money to the banks to re-liquefy the system. ALL THOSE LOANS WERE PAID BACK WITH INTEREST. The taxpayers did not lose a dime on banks. AIG and GM maybe, we'll see, those might be "bailouts" (taxpayers pay for criminal scams).

So unless you can prove otherwise, please pick on the DC whores instead of the banks.

Besides, if the banks were not LOANED money and went bankrupt who would lose? Taxpayers, thats who. Every dollar of loss gets deducted from the IRS taxes. So the US would have lost jobs and trillions in tax dollars.
