Polls mean squat still. If they release that Bush is comfortably ahead it might affect turnout. Dont get lazy now.

I agree. Everyone should work on GW's campaign that feels strongly. Granted the convention went well, but you cannot allow hubris to get the better of you. The WOT could deliver many surprises, not too mention oil prices as only one factor in the economy.

I agree that the polls probably aren't too accurate right now, and that it will probably come back down to a 5-6 point Bush lead. But this is still significant. Bush has an 11 point lead, and both Bush and Kerry are at their peak and nadir, respectively, since Kerry wrapped up the Dem nomination.

And Kerry's camp knows it too. They are in panic mode, as evidenced by several stories on http://www.instapundit.com/ .

Nobody should get cocky at this point. The fact that JflipperK still gets 40% in the polls should scare the shit out of everyone. Look at some of the posters on this board who are so warped by their hatred of Bush. If they do bother to even reply to anything, it's usually by changing the subject or attacking on a different issue. (Just like Flipper)

Most of the posters on this board are political junkies. A very very large segment of the population is not as passionate about all this............
