Browser Issue in USMB

I am encountering this error whenever I try to open any thread with more than 4000 replies.

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.usmessageboard.com/the-rubber-room/213874-the-tavern-post7718082.html#post7718082. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Error code: 500

I am using Chrome Version 29.0.1547.57 m which says that it is up to date. I have done all the usual things like clear cookies and cache and rebooting. I have also tried different browsers and even different computers and I still encounter the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas and/or suggestions?

Unfortunately yes it is. I am wondering what I need to set to get it to work.
