As I was dozing off last night, I watched Brit Hume make these comments:

Hume: U.S. ‘more liberal than many may have thought’ | The Raw Story

He was more or less blaming moderates and independents for Romney's loss.

I was sitting there listening to him and I'm thinking, "You stupid MF'er", except the full word was going though my head, "you stupid idiots nominated a frigging progressive for President of the United States and you expected us to just go along with it because all conservatives had to go along with the idea of 'anybody but Obama'. Well screw you, you stupid son of a bitch, a large number of us who left the Republican Party did so because the last three candidates you have nominated have been tax and spend liberals."

Brit Hume made an ass of himself last night.

And for the record, there is nothing inherently wrong with being "liberal". I enjoy a lot of conversations with many of the liberals on this site and find that those who act like human beings to others are really pretty good people.

The Republicans nominated a tax and spend liberal again and now Brit Hume is whining that conservatives and especially fiscal conservatives didn't go along with the notion of "anybody but Obama".

Tough shit Brit... wake the hell up!

Karl Rove, in my opinion, was the biggest laugh inducing asshole last night. Watching him try to scramble a non-loss right after Fox called it was just... sad..

The instant Brit let the words "liberalism is a dirty word" pass his lips you know right then and there that he's nothing but a neocon, uber-partisan hack. Plain and simple.

I was long asleep by then.

TV was on in my room and I think I heard it announced that Obama had won, but I had already realized that at about 9:00 when they were neck and neck in the EC and the polls in California were still open.

I always thought of "anchor" reporters as pretty faces who could read a video monitor with a reasonable amount of skill. I never thought Dan Rather had a brain in his head or that Chris Matthews knew the difference from a tingle up his leg a viagra overdose but pop-culture turned them into celebrities. Brit Hume is a bit over the top and his opinions are often long on visual and audio input but short on substance. I value Krauthammer's opinion more than Hume.

Who can forget KrautHammer&Sickle's rationalization of why Obama's acceptance speech was moved indoors.

"It wasn't the weather, they knew what the weather was going to be months ago. This was clearly a response to the fear of a sea of empty seats, and that's why this is being done," - Charles Krauthammer
