Tonalist is a noble horse but I agree with Chromes owners. If you don't run the first two races, Kentucky Derby and Preakness, you don't belong in the Belmont.

poor Chrome 'grabbed a quarter' coming out of the gate and Matterhorn stepped on him. He was in pain but still ran a great race.
