I lost one of my older, good friends to dementia. It is for us, who watch, a sad way to go. I am not sure how the person with dementia feels. I do know my friend had some crazy delusions based on being stuck in the old folks home. He said he was physically kidnapped. Locked in a room. He did not remember telling me this is a brief time lucid thought.
