Washington is solidly blue. Has been since 92.

    Doesn't matter.

To try to make Washington seem important - the lib media pumbs up Ron Pauls "candidacy."

Haven't even mentioned Romney's visit to the Seattle area today.

I was trying to think of something to say about that which wouldn't be boring or irrelevant.

    But i could not.

Sucks to live in Illinois. Jesus Christ himself could be running on the Republican ticket and the idiots in the Chicago area would still vote Democratic. Just about the entire state is Republican except for that area right around Chicago. The Democrats are thick as fleas there and a Republican would never be able to carry the state because of it.

    Same thing with Washington.

East of the Cascades is solidy GOP.

Even in western Wash there are a lot of conservatives.

But the densely populated Seattle area is about 90% democrat.

Not to pick on you, but this is a prime example of one of the most bizarre types of statements people make. It has the subtle implication that people who live in cities are subhuman.

If the majority of voters in a given state feel a particular way, they're free to express that in their voting behavior. There is nothing illegitimate about the majority electing people who share their views.

Oh. I thought you were arguing that city dwellers were fully human.

They are. I don't really see the need to sneer at cities (except as a bitter reflex over certain urbanites sneering at the countryside).
