I think the president knows full well that the North already has a stockpile of nukes and will never, ever destroy them. The "closing" of the nuke testing site is nothing but a farce because the site has already been destroyed by testing.

But, symbolism counts a great deal in the world today and Kim is using it so he can be the savior of his nation. By "ending the conflict" [it was never a "war"] he opens up the possibility of ending sanctions and getting financial aid to keep the support of the military and giving civilians a future. He thinks the people will adore him for saving them from past mistakes.

And he will secretly sell the nukes he already has to the highest bidders. Billions going into offshore, hidden accounts.

That is what I've been trying to tell the Trumpanzees. They have been crowing about N. Korea and Trump getting together as well as have said that he should get the Nobel prize, but the only thing is, he hasn't done anything yet. All he has done is say that he would be willing to talk, but it looks like that isn't going to happen.
