Exactly twenty years ago, NATO began the bombing of Yugoslavia without the approval of the UN Security Council in order to force the Yugoslav government to abandon part of its territory - Kosovo.

The parties differently assess the legitimacy of such actions by the United States, which, incidentally, has never stopped the US government from military actions.

Danica Grujičić, head of the department of neuro-oncology at the Serbian Clinical Center, said that NATO had committed genocide. "They deliberately bombed all objects that are marked as dangerous to the environment," - explained the doctor.

Gruijicic is convinced that NATO knew about it and deliberately bombed the chemical industry, oil refining and energy production. "A lot of technical oils, carcinogenic and toxic substances went into the air, land and water...," - said she.

“Gasoline and petroleum products were being poured, we know that five tons of mercury fell into the Danube,” Grujičić noted.She also stressed that the incidence of cancer in Serbia’s children 20 years after the NATO bombing is two and a half times higher than the European average. Adults and children in Serbia have cancer almost three times more often than in the rest of the world, a specialist added.
