My father was from the Ozarks, near the Arkansas border. Whenever he and his brothers, or people from that area got together, I heard the kind of songs like this one. Dad sang high tenor. I did not know until I was past my teens that there was a genre of music, Bluegrass, like this. Until then, it was just Dad's music.

Since then, I have learned to play the guitar and five string. While I like most music, Bluegrass and American Folk is definately my favorite. A genetic defect, some have assured me.
