This has been my fear about America becoming more like Canada. If there are any CIA or FBI agents lurking in here, recognize that I may not be in your circle, but I am very well read. Without question, one of the most valuable, if not THE single most valuable Goodwill asset any nation in the world has, is that of Americas fighting for liberty, individual freedom Due Process, transparency of government etc. It is invaluable. Worth many trillions. Over the years, 100s of Trillions.

As America has turned their head to other allies abuses, be it Canada or the Philippines. It has hurt their own ability to leverage this Goodwill and in fact it has been in decline since probably after 9/11.

At the height of U.S "democracy Goodwill", during the Reagan administration, the hope of billions lied in the success of America to expand its global influence and it's system, It was doing so at a phonomenal rate. Even Canada was slowly getting on board with Mulroney in charge.

This Goodwill must be protected, no matter how difficult or uncomfortable the process.
