By the way, count the number of times you see a green VW Bug in the clip.

i was gonna say the French Connection, but you beat me to it! i lived near that elevated track in brooklyn for a bit!

There are three noteworthy car chases in my opinion

Bullet because it was really the first truly great movie car chase.

French Connection because it was even better than Bullet.

Finally Blues Brothers because, let's face it, they singlehandedly wiped out half of Detroit's production for a week making that car chase!

They wiped out about three million cars, AND a shopping mall.

It just doesn't get better than that.

There was also a good car chase in the movie The Seven Ups with Roy Scheider but it was pretty much a clone of the Bullitt car chase (the driver of the black car was even the same driver from the Bullitt movie).

Exactly why I didn't include that one...it was a clone of the French Connection, I quite agree.

It didn't break any new ground in the filmography car chasing arts if you get my drift.

Grandaddy of em all is still the best 'Bullit.' Also that chase on the wrong side of the freeway in 'To Live And Die In LA' was pretty crazy too. Check this out!
