I use a small local bank. I have no reason to change me accounts. I have better things to do with my time.

Yeah.. think about that... I have all my bills, mortgage, insurance, etc on auto pay... what a nightmare changing all that over.

Good Lord, I get a headache thinking about it!

Honey, I haven't been near the bank in months. I keep enough money there that I pay no fees, collect some interest on nominal accounts and in return, they process my payments/receipts.

How you could possibly construe that as control is, well, beyond stupid. If you think moving your money from a bank to CU is going make your life better, well, have at it.
