Baltimore TV station WJZ has fired anchorwoman Mary Bubala for asking a question perceived to carry racial overtones and gender bias.

“We’ve had three female, African-American mayors in a row,” Bubala said. “They were all passionate public servants. Two resigned, though. Is this a signal that a different kind of leadership is needed to move Baltimore City forward?”

Baltimore TV Anchor Fired For Allegedly Biased Question Regarding Past Mayors – Deadline

Baltimore is in the top 3 as one of the most dangerous cities in America. It's past 3 mayors all left office in disgrace while the city deteriorates. Although Mary Bubala says she made a mistake in language and gave a sincere apology, it was still a valid question given the circumstances in Baltimore. Bubula worked 22 years at the Baltimore station while winning awards.

Clearly it's not a reporters job to ask tough questions these days.

THE PROBLEM IS OBVIOUS:
  • You're not supposed to notice that some people are black unless it is to compliment them. Even then, its still wrong unless you're black too.
  • You're not supposed to suggest that being Black makes you any different, better or worse for anything even though we are constantly told that being White makes you different, better or worse for shit all the time.
  • Noticing that Black people consistently seem to do certain things poorly could be construed as a prelude to not hiring them for such positions anymore! Start that and you might start a dangerous trend of hiring based on QUALIFICATION.
  • We now pretend race doesn't exist by slamming anyone for noticing that race and ethnicity exists even while Blacks celebrate their race and ethnicity constantly.
  • You're not supposed to notice any of the above and you certainly didn't hear it from me.

I've interacted with The City on and off for most of my life. We enjoy the Inner Harbor, ballgames and Port Discovery and Baltimore Zoo for the kids. Most of the rest of it is and has been for some time not unlike a controlled, ever expanding zombie apocalypse. Bubala was right to ask her question and WJZ used to have one hell of a community investigative team. Apparently the cult of political correctness is intent on swallowing every last tendril of hope and rationale for the improvement of American Lives.

The question was factually correct. The facts can sometimes offend people, but they need to be stated. It's painfully obvious a different kind of leadership is needed in Baltimore.

For the record, she wasn't even trying to make this a race thing. She basically said the question came out wrong. She's even apologized. But that's not enough for the race-baiting garbage that are intent on watching the city deteriorate. The race-baiters need to worry about why Baltimore's murder rate is so high and not how a TV anchor words a question.

In a city where Mayors can tell their police force "Let them loot, it's only property" what do you expect? Baltimore is victim to its racist leadership who lets its criminal, Black community run amok with little fear of the police. That is why the Black on Black murder rate is so high.

Actually, and no matter how offensive the truth might sound, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck and its quacks keep you up at night, time to go with something other than a damned duck. PC thought control police are ruining every aspect of life in America. No one need play a race card and some cultures are better than others in some circumstances. If one culture fails time and again, back to back then try a different one. Six or seven hundred thousand people should not live in controlled hell on earth to preserve the delicate nuances of one particular culture.

You would think Blacks would have learned the lesson of race many years ago. Edi Amin fired all the Indians who owned and ran all the businesses in Uganda and ran them out of the country then was surprised when his economy collapsed because none of the Blacks could do anything. Then South Africa forced all the Brits out of their country and are now shocked to learn running a country is HARD WORK!

They could always vote for a fat rich asshole who’ll brag about whatever scandal he’s caught up in, demand executive privelege, and survive off his base celebrating his crimes

If the Baltimore unemployment rate hits a record low while it's economy soars and the city is safer will the citizens care?

Should that happen I would hope they blame the tariffs and tax policies Trump enacted, as they are specifically designed to weaken our cities and bring pain to those who live there

Your Trump derangement syndrome is so high that you feel the need to bring him up on a thread about a Baltimore news anchor fired by race-baiters?

Good for her! She sucked at her old one.

Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, et al say you're full of crap. Here's a list to some municipal and/or county bankruptcies. Yes, Detroit is there. So is Sarpy County, Nebraska (89% white). You need a better argument than race.
