Attack ads should be banned in favor of candidates talking about themselves, what they would like to achieve and why they would be the best candidate.
Attack ads are why I hate political campaigns. This year was a first for me since moving to Tennessee - and frankly I didn't know what to make of it. There was no mudslinging that I could see, candidates discussed their own attributes and goals. It was just wonderful to see positive campaigning and not be bombarded with hate ads.
PIPE DREAM: Political office should not cost millions of dollars to obtain. The office one is running for should be a matter of service to the public - not a run for fame, fortune, and power. Those running for office should keep in the back of their minds the thought that they will be the servants of the people and are answerable to the people for what they do or do not do while in office.
