As the Indonesian tsunami illustrated well, the tsunami's effects weren't limited to the Indian Ocean and perpetuated itself into every ocean of the planet. All the oceans are in fact connected making just one massive ocean.

I seem to recall something about the seven seas. Maybe that's it. One ocean. Seven Seas. But yet maps show the Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic and Indian oceans. It is all very confusing.

Insofar as 'seas' there's actually over 200.
