The widow of former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, who launched a violent intifada against Israel in 2000, said Wednesday on the tenth anniversary of his death that further violence would only serve to hurt the Palestinian people.

Suha Arafat was very critical of Hamas, saying that they had "taken the people hostage," and calling what was happening in Gaza a genocide.

Best for the Palestinians to let demographics resolve the conflict even if it means continued Jew oppression for a generation or two.
