I'd like to warn you. I subscribed to a year of membership at the ClubWPT...World Poker Tour. The cards which are dealt there are so obviously staged that it is more like a tutorial for beginning poker players than it is what I've seen during the lifetime of poker that I've played. 'Course I'm just 77 years old.
WPT is owned by Phil Helm something or other... Full Tilt is owned by Phil Ivey... Pokerstars is owned by Danny Lagrano... WPT sucks...uninstall that program and install Full Tilt or Poker Stars. Better yet find your local card room and play for real.
I played Texas hold'em for a couple years online. I like poker a lot but I can't find 4 or 5 other people who'd like to start up a friendly weekly penny-ante game. My son is now entering for cash texas hold'em contests in Seattle. Three touries -- one second place and one third. Never played real life, so I doubt I really understand the game as well as I ought to. Playing for no money online doesn't remotely describe a real game, I suppose. Do I have tells, for example? I don't know because nobody I played against could see me. I expect I do, though. I'm a dramatic kind of guy in RL, and people seldom fail to intuit my mood.
