Right, because the goal of every scientist is to make people angry, particularly religious people.When you talk about a missing link, all you're really trying to do is stick something in the face of religious people,
Kind of makes you wonder about all those scientists who are also Christian, you know like Newton or Einstein, or heck most of the ones with a European heritage.
Having known a few scientists my observation is they come in two (broadly generalized) categories:
Those who want to expand human knowledge, and publish their findings
Those who want to get published, and establish tenure
Typically they either are religious or ignore religion. I never had people from the scientific community try to push atheism on me. I have had people fro the Religious community try to tell me 2+2 can only equal 4 because 'God Said So'
Go figure.
