This would be part 1 million of a billion part story on how the democrats want to ban and confiscate guns...and now, for some reason, feel safe to tell the truth about what they want...
1) The AR-15 civilian rifle is not a weapon of war, it is not a military weapon and has never been used in war
2) The AR-15 civilian rifle is the same weapon as all other semi automatic rifles, pistols, revolvers and shotguns, one pull of the trigger, one bullet fired, no manual reload...
3) All Semi automatic rifles, including the AR-15 civilian rifle, are protected by the 2nd Amendment. If you doubt this read D.C v Heller and the Dissent from Justice Scalia in Friedman v Highland Park...where he specifically names the AR-15 rifle as a protected rifle because it is in common use for lawful purposes......
4) These weapons are also protected as explained in Miller v United States and Caetano v. Massachusetts...the Supreme Court has already decided on this....the lower courts are breaking the law when they rule against these Supreme Court decisions.
Democratic Rep. Ted Deutch: ‘No More Manufacture’ Of Semi-Automatic Rifles, ‘Get Them Out Of Our Communities’
Let's treat these assault weapons the same way we treat machine guns. That ought to be something that everyone can get behind. No more manufacture. Let's get them out of our communities.
