It's a very beneficial commercialisation of science.
Like everything Musk goes for, exciting potential for improving the world.

Science can not be commercialized. America caught up with the Russians in space only when it created the Governmental structure of NASA

Why can't science be commercialized? Do you think the sharpest minds are working for the gov't or the private sector?

It takes one hell of a lot of science to launch a satellite into the correct orbit. A lot of technology to build the rocket and satellite. It is by those two that we have commerce.

Calling bullshit on that. Computers, cell phones, airplanes, and almost everything that we have is the result of the commercialization of science by private enterprise. Much of it was based on initial government research, but only when it was commercialized was it available to the general public.

Musk can design new rockets much faster than the entire government of Kim Jong Un..
