Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 was not the first flight to disappear into thin air. It has happened before. What happened to these planes? What happened to the plane stolen in Angola and what is the purpose of stealing a plane of that size? This is posted under conspiracy theories because at this point not much can be proven as to who took these planes and why. It would be wise to realize they are out there and that in the wrong hands these planes could be used as weapons against us.

Angola Plane Theft and 6 Other Aviation Mysteries - ABC News

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was carrying 239 passengers, including three Americans, when it mysteriously disappeared off the radar above the South China Sea last Friday.

No distress signals were sent, and no signs have been found of the Boeing 777 airplane, which boasted a near perfect safety record, according to baffled aircraft experts.

Throughout history, numerous incidents of planes vanishing into thin air have captured the attention of the public, aviation experts, and filmmakers alike. Here's a look at some of the most perplexing mysteries, a few of which remain unsolved.

Remember this one in 2003?

Missing Plane Pilot Baffle Investigators - ABC News

727 Stolen From Angola Airport (2003)
A Boeing 727 took off from Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport in Luanda, Angola, without clearance or a flight plan on May 25, 2003.

The plane, which wasn't painted with an airline logo, hasn't been seen since.

According to the FBI, it was once part of the fleet of a major airline, however it had since been outfitted to carry diesel fuel.

Officials said they believed Ben Charles Padilla, an aviation engineer and pilot, may have been on the plane when it disappeared.

Ben Charles Padilla, an aircraft mechanic, flight engineer and cargo pilot, traveled the world plying his trade for various private companies.

He'd often keep in touch with family members from faraway locales, so it was no surprise in May 2003 when he replied to an e-mail about his mother having a heart attack with news that he was in Africa refurbishing a plane and would contact her as soon as he could.

His family has not heard from him since, and the FBI believes the 51-year-old was aboard a Boeing 727 that took off without authorization from an airport in Angola on May 25 and promptly vanished. At the time, U.S. officials told ABCNEWS they suspected the plane was stolen to run drugs or guns, and some theorized it was crashed for insurance money.

Though there was fear that the former passenger plane, which the FBI says was reconfigured to carry diesel fuel, could be in the hands of terrorists eyeing a Sept. 11-style attack, there was no evidence to link it to terrorism.

The incident touched off an intensive investigation by U.S. intelligence agencies that continues nearly a year later. The plane and Padilla remain unaccounted for — and the mysterious circumstances around their disappearance leave many unanswered questions.

How could a plane vanish? Who has it now? And what happened to Padilla, who was no stranger to assignments like the one that took him to Angola?

My guess would be that most, if not all, vanished over a large deep body of water, never to be found.

Are you implying that they all crashed and are at the bottom of the sea? This report reveals that the Malaysian government - military knew as early as 4 days after Flight MH370 had gone missing that it was stolen. Their military had it on radar as going in the opposite direction from the flight plan (After they had lost all contact with plane!) it was supposed to have been traveling - this was confirmed - Freewill - yet kept from the many nations who assisted in the search. Why? Why would you keep back vital information like that? They basically gave the hijackers 4 days to take it anywhere while keeping the world busy searching in a location they knew the plane would not be found.

Listen to these facts and see what you come up with:

This plane is still missing too. Lost in 1962 and not a trace of it found since? I find that strange. Don't you?

Flying Tiger Flight 739 (1962)

More than 50 years after U.S. military chartered Flying Tiger Flight 793 vanished without a trace, the Super Constellation L-1049 plane is still missing.

It was reportedly a fine and clear day across the Philippine Sea on March 15, 1962, when the plane, transporting soldiers and supplies from California to Saigon, Vietnam, went missing after stopping to refuel in Guam. No distress calls were made and all 107 people aboard were presumed dead, authorities said at the time. Numerous searches by the military failed to turn up any evidence of the airliner, nor the cause of its disappearance.

Only interesting in that we don't know. What might have happened is rapid cabin depressurization causing the plane to crash into the sea intact and sinking to the bottom. An explosion in the air would have left a debris field a we see in the lasted airline disaster.

Iam sorry, don't have the time right now to listen to the whole video. Do they ever give a motive?

You should watch the video. There could only be speculation as to the motive at this point which is why I posted the thread under conspiracy theory forum, Freewill. In the case of the Angola plane it was stripped on the inside and they suspected it could be used as a weapon I believe. In the case of the Malaysian plane there is no concrete evidence as to what was done with it. I believe it is in storage at this writing - to be used at a later time by terrorists. That is my suspicion as to where that plane is.

Crashed into the sea intact? I've never heard of a jumbo jet crashing into the sea intact. Do you have precedent for that type scenario?
