And then there's Wisconsin.

Some of it isn't....Useful idiot neo-Marxist scum like the OP truly do hate nearly everyone who isn't in their dead-ender 10% club.

Democracy and democratic institutions play a vital role in our Republic when our representatives (except most judges) are elected by the people in democratic elections across the nation.
Democracy dies without a responsible citizenry, which is sadly lacking in America.

How Wisconsin Became the GOP’s Laboratory for Dismantling Democracy

In his snug campaign office in suburban Milwaukee, located in a shopping plaza next to a dentist and an acupuncturist, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers scans the brightly colored maps that hang on the walls. They depict the tortuously shaped legislative districts drawn in a state now regarded as one of the most gerrymandered in the nation. “Who in their right minds could’ve made them up?” Evers asks.

The answer: Republicans in the state legislature. Evers saw firsthand the impact of GOP control of the redistricting process when he ran for governor in 2018. That year, Democrats swept all five statewide races and won 53 percent of votes cast for the state assembly, but the party retained just 36 percent of seats in the chamber. “It’s real simple,” Evers says, after eating a Five Guys burger for lunch. “All the statewide elected officials are Democrats… But then you go into the legislature and it’s almost two-thirds Republicans. There’s something wrong with that picture.”

GOP looks for veto-proof majorities in Wisconsin Legislature

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Republicans are hoping Tim Michels will defeat Democratic Gov. Tony Evers in November, but even if Evers prevails they could still reshape the battleground state by winning enough seats in the Legislature to override vetoes.

If Republicans can flip five seats in the Assembly and one in the Senate they’ll have the two-thirds majority they need. They would be free to rework state politics at will, including the state budget and election administration.

Here are a few stats that would make the worst sort of anti-democratic authoritarian blush. WI is so gerrymandered that Dems would need to win 64% of the vote statewide just to get a slim majority in the legislature. Conversely, Repubs can win a majority with 44% of the vote. Meaning Repubs are on the verge of nullifying democracy in WI by controlling the legislature with super majorities not thanks to the popularity of their positions but rather based on cheating.

The tyranny of the minority being the national project Repubs have been working on for years. Given a head start by virtue of the structural advantages Repubs have in the Senate and the EC. No wonder Repubs flip out when Dems propose national legislation designed to thwart Repub's deceitful schemes to grab power.
This post belongs in the Flame Zone and is just more DemNazi propaganda

Mighty fine dismantling of Democracy DimTurd.

The problem wasn't with drop boxes per se, but that they were filled with so many Democrat votes. :omg:

"The state is unique in its election administration; it vests this authority in a bipartisan body called the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC). In March 2020, the WEC issued guidance to local clerks outlining “options for ensuring that the maximum number of ballots are returned” for the upcoming primary election. The options included drop boxes and indicated that “clerks should ensure they are secure, can be monitored for security purposes, and should be regularly emptied.” Additionally, the WEC stated that “a family member or another person may also return the ballot on behalf of the voter.”

"Today, we’re not rebutting the legal analysis — the dissent written by the other Justice Bradley on the court, liberal Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, did a good job at that — but we are identifying and responding to particularly harmful conclusions reached by the majority.

The majority reads the relevant Wisconsin statute to only permit absentee ballots returned one of two ways: voters can deliver their own ballots in person to a municipal clerk or place their ballots in the mail. The majority found that the phrase “to the municipal clerk” in the statute meant an “inanimate object, such as a ballot drop box, cannot be the municipal clerk.”

The majority prohibits voters from placing their ballots in drop boxes, which have been specifically designed for this purpose. At the same time, the majority allows voters to place their ballots into mail boxes. This nonsensical distinction simply makes it harder for people to vote.

For voters concerned about privacy or delays with the U.S. Postal Service, ballot drop boxes are a convenient alternative. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission issued guidance on their use, calling a drop box a “secure, locked structure operated by election officials.” A recent study conducted by the Associated Press reinforced this conclusion: “None of the election offices in states that allowed the use of drop boxes in 2020 reported any instances in which the boxes were connected to voter fraud or stolen ballots."

The problem wasn't with drop boxes per se, but that they were filled with so many Democrat votes. :omg:
Right. And we know the use of drop boxes wasn't a problem because study after study has proven they weren't. The real problem is conservatives being impervious to the truth.

Many states have adopted bi-partisan redistricting commissions to help prevent gerrymandering.
So then, what are you complaining about? I just love it when democrats seem to think a deep red state would suddenly turn blue but for gerrymandering. They even continue saying it when Republicans are winning all the races that can't be gerrymandered.

A quick word about drop boxes. I worked as a volunteer here in CO in the 2012 election collecting ballots from drop boxes. All collectors get paired with a person from the opposing party. There are all sorts of controls used like sealing the bags the votes are put in and recording the number of the seal. Seals are verified when the bags are brought back to the county building where they are counted. Ballot envelope's signatures are checked by teams of two people, again from opposing parties. Any disagreement about a signature match means the ballot goes to another process or the voter is contacted for reasons of signature verification. Naturally once a vote has been counted it is entered in to the computer to prevent double voting by the same person.

It's a very secure process.

That's a common human problem, not necessarily a political one.

Evers is a know-nothing lifer educrat, who has never had an honest job in his entire life.....And he's going to get thrown out on his neo-Marxist ass a few days.

Ron Johnson is going to get re-elected in a romp.

So suck on that, asspipe.
Good ole Ron...writing tax laws that benefit himself. Nice work

LOL. So, you're questioning elections? You're an election denier?
The useful idjit berg80 will believe anything APReutersCBSNBCABCMSNBCNPRCNN tell him, no matter how preposterous.

Pointing out obvious on-video and geolocated cheating makes you a "election denier", while screeching RUSSIA! for over two years, with no credible evidence whatsoever, makes you a "patriot".

If the moonbats didn't have double standards....

Even better, Democrat favoring ads have Johnson's profits from that law at over $50Million now, up from the $5Million he claimed.

Here's my source.

A highly anticipated nonpartisan audit of the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin released Friday did not identify any widespread fraud in the battleground state, which a key Republican legislative leader said shows its elections are “safe and secure.”

If you didn't have your head so far up the DNC's butt you would recognize immediately that the "therefore" in that statement is a bald faced partisan lie.

You assholes fucking LIE, it's ALL you do.

It's NOT secure, shit for brains
