And it begins

No, I didn't call you a name. I described your behavior. I don't care who likes me on an anonymous internet board, so what Wry things is of little concern. No, I'm not on the left. I'm a conservative libertarian who pokes fun at humorless wingnuts of any variety.

Yeah right clown....we see you jumping all over the leftties for the fucked up shit they're saying...

I tend to ignore lefties as I'm far more concerned about conservatives having a quality, logical and coherent message instead of emotional knee jerk reactions.......kind of like you just displayed.

I'm wondering why you post here if you enjoy "quality, logical and coherent messages"? I ask because many here characterize me as a "lefty", and while I do enjoy baiting conservatives, few have ever responded to opinions - which are not knee jerk if you really want to debate, and not all left by any stretch - with any response but emotion.
I'm also curious how you define "lefty" and "conservative". I differentiate (most times) between conservatives and right wingers - do you acknowledge a difference between the liberal/progressive and the left wingers?

Since you are famous for not answering questions I see absolutely no reason anyone should bother answering your questions.. and you "bait"? wow,, isn't that low life behavior!

Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day and a great holiday season.

and a question for wrycatcher....why did you abandon the "no bid contracts" attack?

Asked and answered. I answered the question asked of me, and provided evidence. Nothing was abandoned.
btw, How are the seas in WestPac, I hear the waves on the North Shore are huge and well formed; the call for Mavericks maybe any day.

Cool..

anyway the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational is over so maybe Mav's will happen very soon.

Did Bush? No

I don't believe Bush profited either. I also think it's pretty clear that he wasn't running foreign policy, cheney was.

As a matter of fact.. the contracts and profit increases under Bush mirrored what happened under Clinton.. see the contracts used in the Balkans and every military use outside of the US... Halliburton, is in a unique position for their abilities in military contracts in 'war zones'

i don't believe the profits on the contracts were the same. in fact, i'd say that while the percentage of profit over cost may have remained similar, which makes sense, given the size and scope of the war of choice in iraq as compared to the military action in the Balkans, it is counterintuitive.

but i'm always happy to look at credible sources.

in other words, you aren't smart enough to defend your belief system.

Why yes, yes I am. What I don't do is attack the "enemy" in an irrational and emotional manner. Rather than say, "look at what is wrong with them", I prefer that my "side" provide a spelled out, quality, logical and coherent better alternative. Neener, neener, neener isn't really a winning strategy for either side of an argument is it?

My use of "lefties" was in response to Willow's use of the term in our exchange. I'm often accused of being a socialist/liberal/leftie by those who call themselves conservative because I don't join in on using smear tactics. I'm a conservative libertarian. I am not a social conservative. While I don't care for Bill O'Reilly, I do appreciate his point of you don't justify your bad behavior by pointing out someone else's worse behavior. Too often that is all that "political debate" devolves into. Yeah, we suck, but you suck worse. Or even worse than that is you suck and we don't.......when you know you do. My point is this, rather than attack those I disagree with and call them names, I'd prefer my side sell their ideas based on their merit. Simple enough.

Which would make you buy a Coke? "Coke, it's cold, crisp and refreshing"......or......."Coke, at least we ain't Pepsi".

Go back a few posts jillian....I posted a link to an anti- Haliburton/Cheney site that says Cheney completely divested himself of all Haliburton/KBR stock BEFORE he became Vice President. He has made ZERO dollars off the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. If you hear anything else...it's bullshit.

Cheney retained stock options, which increased in value by 3281% during the first two years of the Iraq war. From a value of $241,498 to a value of nearly 8 million.

You are right, he is wrong. They just don't want to give it up.

Perhaps Wry Catcher is not in fact a Christian.

Maybe he should have been wishing you a Happy Chanukah instead. Would that be better?

I celebrate Christmas. I say Merry Christmas!

Happy Festivus to the rest of us!

You should get that festivus looked at...it could get infected and kill you.

Halliburton Watch

Which mentions nothing about stock OPTIONS .

Since options are not owned stocks, they would not be included under the heading "stocks".
