Funny, I watched more than few of the debates, I don't remember anything about 80% (?)of the candidates voicing "disapproval" of Obama's following through on the commitments made by Bush to exit Iraq.

I can't find it, but i'd heard that Obama wanted to keep at least some troops there longer, but that the Iraqi govt would not agree to give them immunity from Iraqi laws if they did. So there was no way he could do what he wanted to and keep them there and take any chances of them being prosecuted for something in that country. Did anyone else hear of this or know where to find it??

I just love how everything that was put in place by Pres. Bush is now coming into play....and dear Obama gets to take credit.

Circumstances intervened to make Bush's original plan not feasible. We didn't know at that time that obama was going to support the muslim brotherhood getting rid of Mubarak, nor that obama was going to hand Libya over to Al Quaeda, not even that obama was going to totally screw up Pakistan making them Taliban allies.
