Edit: As I currently understand it and I haven't looked into it that deeply, you can only ask for loan forgiveness under certain circumstances...

A PPP loan is designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll. PPP loans are eligible for full or partial forgiveness if the money is used for qualifying costs including payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities.
You may be eligible for for full forgiveness if:
- Entire loan is used for qualifying costs:
- At least 60% is used for payroll
- And the rest is used for business rent, business utilities, or mortgage interest on a business property
- You either don’t lay off employees or rehire them by December 31, 2020
- For your employees who make less than $100,000 a year, you either don’t cut their wages by more than 25% or you restore their original wages by December 31, 2020
- Note: If you received an EIDL Advance, the amount of that EIDL Advance will be deducted from your total forgiveness amount.

My fucking problem is you and I get a 1200 dollar check. This fucking senstor gets a 300,000 check and we all three of us owe the federal government the same amount on the debt. The Senators did no service for the check yet his is way bigger than mine and yours check. The bank lends the money collects interest and fees on the loans. The senator gets a huge check and the federal government pays back the loan. In the end we the tax payer pays the bill. Not the guy who got the big check. I am a Democrat who runs a business with his two best friends since they were 11 and both of them are Republicans. I spent 2 Saturdays ago in a woods with a family of 4 generations of Republicans in it with me and was the sole Democrat there. Watched one of my best friends grandsons get his first dear. I am a Democrat that is a professional out doorsman. I hunt and fish for a living. Most my clients are Republicans. Surprisingly of the other guides and captains I compete with it is about half and half with the Republicans having a slight edge. I use to be in government roads and bridges for 25 years. Again dealt with about half and half. This I have to say about charter Captains in the western basin of lake erie. The best is a chubby Hispanic Democrat. I never use up my limit on a charter. I get my 36 and back to the dock so I can try and beet Ely casting to limit. I win once or twice in ten tries. You wanna win against the best ya gotta fish against them.
