On Morning Joe, an entire segment on Health Care with Senator Coburn who has made a career out of trying to cut Veterans Health Care talking about, you guessed it, the high cost of health care.
Right after that segment, there was Dick Cheney talking about how after a mere 20 months on the heart recipient list, he was able to get a transplant when most hospitals won't preform such a surgery on anyone older than 65. He was 71 at the time.
Not only that, he went on and on about "preventive" medicine and how all of his family members, from his children to his many grand children all get regular checkups and screenings.
Well, the biggest reason behind getting health care to Americans is "preventive". Treating disease BEFORE it becomes serious.
