    I am happy for the Afghan people, gracious for the sacrifice of our troops and their allies (like the Spaniards who died in the helicopter crash, or the french commando who died on election day) and hopeful for the future.

    We have a long way to go. Let's pray all this has not been for naught and make sure we make it.

    There was so little in the Newspaper on this, yet IED detonations make front page, with pools of blood featured. I'm not surprised that you would note the story though. :)

    This was NOT dog bites man, Afghanistan is going through changes of historical proportions.
