A Populism of the Left Can Realign American Politics...A Left Version of Trump is what's needed

I disagree. “Marxism” can mean many things to many people. After all, the theories of Marx (and his practical work) developed in a totally different era. But men like Lenin and Trotsky were genuine Marxists who took his theories to a certain logical and extreme end, which in the conditions of Russia ended (predictably enough) in disaster. Of course other “Marxists” took his theories in more democratic directions. European “social democracy” is just one example.

P.S.

In the Spanish Civil War, there was a very significant anarchist workers movement in Catalonia. No “government” is really compatible with anarchism. You may already be familiar with George Orwell’s famous book, “Homage to Catalonia.”
STFU Commie sophist liar goober. I'm familiar with "Animal Farm" and "1984", k?

Again, do you have a solution that doesn't require marxist wealth redistribution?
I do, but those that don't want to work or are illegal will be cut off from Uncle Sam's titties/umbilical cord.

Let's not get into the physical impossibilities of that and more the gist of it.

Unless one thinks gender is a construct.

A true utopian Marxist society has no definitive government, so it is anarchist. It's ruled by ad hoc workers committees.

Unfortunately, it depends on humanity evolving to a whole new level of enlightenment.

Kind of like using the ideal gas law to do complex vapor pressure calculations in a distillation column.

Leftist populism will never happen. Leftists are too individualistic to agree on anything. If they would adopt one-tenth of the "Lock-step" tendencies of the right, they would win all elections. Unfortunately, if there's a shred of light between what a leftist wants and what a politician offers, leftists refuse to get off their butts and vote.

Individualistic?

LOL.

Leftism is by definition collective, the very opposite of individualism.

I suggest we share the previous redistribution more equitably.
IOW, you don't have a solution that doesn't require forced "sharing" via marxist wealth redistribution.
Who decides what is "equitable" when confiscating the earnings of one man and giving them to another? You? Tyranny of the majority?

PC and Identity Politics, of course.

Trumpism is largely a response to that. They're just mimicking the Left with their own set of issues.
Interesting.

The right invented so-called "identity politics" because everything centered around their white-centric sensibilites.

It's only recently that more people have a voice, due to social media, that they have a problem w/it.

Political correctness has its place as well, there's extremes to everything, but in and of itself is not a bad thing.

To think otherwise, is to be extreme.

As with pretty much everything else, moderation is key.

It's when the Left weaponized PC and Identity Politics that it went off the rails. That's when the Left started screaming RACISM at everything that moved, when college campuses were de-platforming people, and when Cancel Culture was born, and that's when the resentment began growing.

How did the resentment manifest? Trump, MAGA and a starkly conservative Supreme Court.

Leftists by nature can't be populist.
They operate within their collective cult.

They are the anti individual party.

Populism on the left?

The entire left is a top down affair where people believe whatever they are told to believe by Gates, Soros, Schwab, Zuckerberg and all the rest.

How can a populist movement arise in a group that has been trained only to obey and not think?

They don't want Trump but they want a strong president who kept inflation low and energy costs low and closed the border and kept us out of international intrigue. WTF?

The Irony!
Where the hell do you LibTards ever disagree?!
You morons agree to disagree with anyone who disagrees with your lock step bullshit.

More "my wife made me beat her" rhetoric from you.

Nice!
