When Antoinette Love was born six weeks prematurely to Anthony and Yolanda Love, all her mother wanted was for Love to live. The New Orleans native only weighed 4.4 pounds, but she eventually left the hospital 23 days later.

Years later, Love blew past another milestone: Acceptance into 115 colleges and universities nationwide.

Too bad about what she wants to major in. Apparently they did a number on her head in the indoctrination camp those bastards call a school.

"Love is determined to become an educator and wants to major in elementary education beginning this fall, her mother [Yolanda] said by phone."

If her head is screwed on right she can be a great educator setting good policies.

Educators don't set policy, politicians and bureaucrats do that.

Why do you think the politicians and bureaucrats are telling the world that global warming is settled science? So they don't feel bad about forcing the teachers into teaching it to your elementary school aged kids.

Duh.

By the time this generation is all growed up, there WILL be global government, whether you like it or not.

. . . and they will have your guns while they are at it too. :auiqs.jpg:

Educators don't set policy, politicians and bureaucrats do that.
Educators have no input or say in what is taught? The Department of Education is filled with Edu-crats who come from academia and public schools setting policy that our children are forced to deal with.

Your post is a shining example of wishful ignorance.

Most education policy is set at the state level by folks we elect.

Here is a list. If you are not on this list, chances are you are set at the local level.
State Board of Education - Wikipedia
"The United States Constitution reserved educational authority in the hands of the states pursuant to the Tenth Amendment, wherein most states have passed such authority to local school boards."
Board of education - Wikipedia

What is taught in your local school is usually determined at your state level. Mostly this used to be set by an international company called CORE, it was based in India, but a lot of states have stepped back from this. So it has been scaled back.

This does NOT however discount the fact that each state sets it's education policy standards individually.

In order to get onto the State Board of Education, one must usually be ELECTED. You can come from any background, it helps to have been in teaching or on a local school board, but generally, it helps to just have lots of political experience and very deep pockets or political donors.

(I looked up the state school board in my state, they appoint a non-voting curriculum advisor.) "The Superintendent of Public Instruction is appointed by the board for a term to be determined by the board, to serve as its chair, without the right to vote."

I have a friend who I was in the poli-sci. program who runs an organic greenhouse and donates fifty percent of their product to school lunches. In a few years, she plans on running for the State Board herself. She has no educational experience, but her degree is in Public Administration.

Again, like I said, the Federal Government has no say, neither do teachers. It is the folks we elect that determine policy, and once they are elected, it is whomever funded their campaigns which will determine what the kids are taught.

So. . . . essentially what I wrote was correct. "Educators don't set policy, politicians and bureaucrats do that."

. . . and they will have your guns while they are at it too. :auiqs.jpg:
not according to them, they claim they are not after the guns.

. . .yeah, and I am sure the that lefties in Britain promised their nation all sorts of stuff too that they can no longer deliver on now that they are in the EU, b/c all the other member nations are telling them. . . .

NOPE.

And they are like. . . oh well, we tried.

Bullshit. If a school district said you’re going to teach Unions are bad, there’d be hell to pay. Teachers playing stupid victim is beyond old.

You're missing the point, a school district would never teach that.

It would NEVER, ever happen.

You could vote in a majority of school board members that believe that, but even at the local level there is a "deep state." IOW, they have a non-voting Superintendent of Public Instruction, or a curriculum advisor, an expert on educational matters. If you were to get on a board of education, you would be disabused of such a silly notion. Unions are neither good nor bad, they are a reflection of the union membership.

So, if the entire school board wanted to get materials to teach the kids that unions are the cause of increased prices in consumer goods, the curricula advisor, who is a professional, would then have to educate the school board about the nuances of business and management. You would never have an entirely PRO business agenda get into a school.

The school my kid goes to is essentially run by a fortune five hundred, international company. Let me tell you, they do not learn that unions are "good." OTH, they don't learn that unions, in and of themselves are "bad."

If you think they are, you have been propagandized by someone or something. You need to relearn the history of labor rights.

Why would teachers want to teach lies & right wing propaganda?

I never thought a public school would teach kids how to be Muslims either, but it happened.
