The 60's and 70's were the best, (pre-metal days when it was all rock n roll) but the 80's has a unique place in creative music history that can never be surpassed . The 90's set the stage for a disappointing future ...(( just turn on the radio and it's mostly music from the 70's and 80's..........I rest my case , Your Honor...))

Testament went a little too 'hard core metal' in the 90's but I love all their older stuff.

Armored Saint is another of my favorite 80's bands ( still touring btw)
Rest in peace Dave Prichard.

Hair bands were mediocre at best, metal bands in the 1960's and 1970's were called acid rock.
