It's interesting that all the so-called investigative reporting regarding the Kennedy assassination seems to intentionally evade the fact that Oswald was a traitor and should have been in prison. Why was he welcomed back in the Country with his new bride who was the daughter of a KGB agent after renouncing his citizenship during the peak of the Cold War? What was Oswald's relationship to the FBI and/or the CIA?
Americans love a conspiracy. They just can't believe a lone mentally disturbed gunman, who lived in a fantasy world could have killed the most power leader on earth, but if you look at other assignations, that is often the case. Movies, books, and TV have keep the conspiracy alive in spite of all the evidence to the contrary. Why is it that even tho 60% -70% plus of American people believe in a Kennedy Conspiracy there isnt a news based show on TV that doesnt try to "debunk" the idea, or ridicule it.
I think it says a lot about the worthlessness of our conformist press.

However, the theory is slowly dying. For most of the last 50 years, more than 70 percent of people consistently said the Kennedy assassination was part of a larger conspiracy. Numbers were as high as 81% but have been declining.
