Yes, we have a progressive income tax and most people have no major issue with that. What I have an issue with is half of working americans paying nothing in federal income tax, and with the government borrowing 40 cents of every dollar it spends.

We could tax the top 10% at 100% and it would not eliminate the deficit or pay down the debt. We must cut govt spending or this country will be bankrupt.

Half the working people have shit for income.....that is the real issue

and why is that? Could it be that there are more workers than there are jobs? could it be that restrictive liberal policies have stifled corporate and small business growth? Could it be that taxes and regulations have forced American companies offshore in order to survive?

Why aren't Iphones made in the USA? Why is there no commercial shipbuilding industry in the USA? Why is there no longer a textile industry in the USA? Why are Canadian drugs cheaper than US drugs? Why are a large % of American cars made in foreign countries?
