Yeah and I suppose you could say his timing was excellent when he switched to say he was against it... uh huh... or maybe he was and is just saying what he thinks will get him more votes.

I suspect his position was always in support of gay marriage as that was his original position as a State Senator in Illinois. I'd guess that he changed that position for political expediency. And changed it back when the opportunity presented itself.
