Another CCA debacle? Say it ain't so. Privatize prisons...........
People are killed in prisons all the time. It makes no difference who runs them.

Yes. Remember this when the lawsuits come in.

How many gang bangers died in Chicago this week (7)? Maybe the state of Illinois could hire CCA to run Chi Town. They seem to be doing better.

Try again. The CCA has always had problems. Can you identify these problems or are we just going to play tit for tat?

Chicago has always had problems too, namely liberal/socialist government.
Show me something Liberal government does more efficiently than the private sector.

the problem with privatized is that they need to make a profit and judges and AG's will be pressured to keep them full...and they will....some of them are/will be stockholders...

Everything from ambulance service to police forces to the IRS. This isn't about Chicago and clearly you haven't been paying attention to Chicago. What do you know about CCA?

The problem is that they cut corners and take risks. They are often understaffed to the point that even if the staff had excellent training they are just clearly outnumbered.

The county I live in has private ambulance service. It has saved a lot of money. Policing, I suppose could also be privatized providing a taxable profit and a savings to consumers.
The IRS???? You must be kidding! A good accounting firm and the Russian mob could turn a profit collecting taxes at 1/2 the cost to taxpayers.

Ok. You have nothing. Thanks.

Corruption is never the answer. It wasn't the question either.

And you have nothing. Some convicts died in a private sector prison. That is supposed to mean more than gang bangers dying in a Liberal run city? Why? Because it supports YOUR agenda?

I know. I merely pointed out the well known problems.

Except CCA is regularly sued for which tax payers pay for. There is no "market" so we as tax payers pay more than what we do for public prisons. You don't have a case. Your private ambulance company by contract has more time to respond than they did when they were county or city held and the cost for the people that actually pay went up. So, save it Ernie until you really want to dissect it.

I agree. It's September 13, 2015 and we actually agree on something.
