California DMV's have to electronically send SSN's to the U.S. Social Security Administration for verification. If valid, the DMV then electronically send the voter registration data to the California State Department which then verifies the data to register eligible voters. SSN#'s are then sent again to the SSA for verification. It's all done electronically, you dumbfuck.

DMV electronically verifies your SSN, name, and birth date with the Social Security Administration (SSA) while you are in the DMV office.
