2016 may very well be remembered as the year of the Op-ed writer. Unpublished writers have been waiting a long time for their ship to come in. With the massive wave of anger rising against mainstream media at high tide now, many writers are stepping aboard to make their journey into uncharted territory.
For years the establishment media has controlled the news but with the advent of You Tube, Twitter and popular message boards such as USMB, independent new writers are emerging. There are many advantages to reading independent op-eds. Who better to get the truth from than an independent source that isn't under the control of leftist media?
There was a time when journalism was unbiased and details were reported in abundance. Slowly the curtain was drawn on in-depth reporting as 5 minute sound bites replaced what once was called “the evening news.”
Censorship of pertinent facts has become the norm for many journalists. Truth is a rare commodity these days. There is a famine in the land of journalism. The gatekeepers can no longer satisfy the general public with crumbs of regurgitated propaganda while reserving the meat of the truth to a privileged few.
The momentum that Donald Trump is enjoying is directly tied to the dissatisfaction Americans feel for the blatant disrespect they have been shown by the establishment media, politicians & their parties. The American people do not appreciate having their vote overruled by GOP elite insiders. The false reporting by mainstream media on the subject of Donald Trump is blatantly obvious.
Mainstream media is no longer reporting the news but rather-revising news stories to be as they wish it to be.
What an opportunity for the Op-ed writer! What Trump has done in breaking with political correctness, the independent writer is now doing by breaking with political correctness in favor of truth.
Slumbering apathy in the face of extreme danger is a communist's dream and a patriot's nightmare.
The reading material mainstream media has been offering us is garbage that is unfit for human consumption. When mainstream media news sources & their top journalists agree to a vow of silence in order to attend secret non-governmental meetings hosted by organizations such as Bilderberg, is it any wonder? They have been serving us stale peanuts instead of the main course!
The latest secret meeting was reportedly held off the coast of Georgia. A veritable who's who in the world of billionaires was invited to attend a private GOP meeting with one main agenda: How to stop GOP front runner Donald Trump from winning the nomination.
Since when does a small elite group of democrats and republican politicians and CEO's meet in private to decide who the future GOP nominee will and will not be?
What ever happened to the will of the people and where are the whistle blowers when we need them? Someone out there needs to tell the other side of the story!
That is where the op-ed writer comes in. The American people are angry and they want answers. It's a golden opportunity but like most things, it won't last forever.
There are many writers out there but only a few will have the courage to seize the moment and write honest op-ed's that address the serious issues of our time. If your dream is to become a writer? The time is now!
