Bobby Jindal is my second choice though.

As for Barb's reason.... That scares me. You really don't want him to finish what he has begun. That will have us back in the dark ages of Tiberius and Caligula.

Are you in Louisana? If not, you should probably see if you can pick up the Moon Griffon. Moon is a pretty old school Conservative, anti-big government, anti taxes, etc and he outright despises Jindal. He's not the great hope of the GOP that he appears to be.

I know the poll is still pretty shallow but I thought RW said Mitt was the Republican's pick! I thought everything RW said based off 100% fact!

I suppose it's too much to hope for a Ron Paul presidency?

Shame. Looks like I'll be abstaining for yet another election cycle.

You do yourself and your country a disservice when you don't vote. I most assuredly will not be voting for Obama, but I'm not too impressed with the current possibilities on the Republican side, either. I just haven't made up my mind - but I will be voting.

I'd vote for Ron Paul, but I doubt he'll run again. I'd be ok with Mitt Romney. He was the governor when I still lived in MA.

That's kind of a catch-22 though isn't it?

If I vote for either the douchebag or the shit sandwich (to use a South Park reference), am I not also doing my country a disservice?

Ron Paul is a disingenious nutjob. First, he is the representative for a sparsely populated rural insignificant district. Second, the many preaches to nausea about wasteful spending, yet he is a PORKER. During the primaries he approved more Pork for his tiny insignificant district than any other Republican candidate and even 2 DEMOCRATIC primary candidates.

Nothing worse than a self-rigtheous radical that doesn't stick to the moto "do as I say no do as I do!"

His son sucks also. That is the only senate race I am rooting for the Democrat in!

Just to gauge the general sentiment of this forum, I thought I'd hold a little pre-2012 election primary.

Who would you vote for in 2012? Who would you like to see run? Who do you want most to win?

Conservatives... who do you want to get the Republican nomination?

Independants... will you go for the GOP candidate, or Obama?

Democrats... any chance of Hillary trying for the nomination against the President?

Please vote in the poll as well.

The GOP/Tea Party currently has no one worth voting for, so unless a viable Third Party candidate arises, I will vote for Obama.

i swear i don't understand why anyone thinks that hypocrite is presidential material..

mr. i hate earmarks but never met an earmark he didn't like...

mr. i want term limits who made a career out of congress...

mr. know-nothing about the constitution...

mr. naive about international policy.

yah... just what we need.

It takes cold hard cash to operate anything. That's a fact. Turn around and see how many U.S. citizens have cold hard cash. I suppose to some that's enough. For me I still would like to know what is exactly enough, the hard working, the low style take it as it comes, perhaps an inheritance or even the lucky win from your local lottery or jackpot casino grab.

Still the fact is as independent as we are this country needs to be operated as a business, and in some form of trust.

Next question is why don't people get up and leave? It all about refuge by now stick around and see the next default.
