U.S. society is a...violent society.

Another Hollywood lie.

America does not make the list of the top 100 countries by murder rate. England has a far higher rate of violent crime than does America. Rape happen far more per capita in Australia than America. Just a few examples.

America does have a few select counties in which violence is a problem, where those fine folks seem willing to kill their neighbors at the drop of a hat. Yet, despite them skewing the stats, across the country, we're far less violent than the you might think.

I believe that marijuana is rejected in U.S. society.

I disagree with that statement.

Given the prodigious use of cannabis and the massive trends toward legalization, I'd say it is increasingly accepted in US society.
