They always did. It was not until the equal pay nonsense that they no longer earn more. Few people realize this.

The men's team gets paid from the international body when it competes in the World Cup, which means they make a lot more for doing so. The men's World Cup generates far more money than does the women's, so they get paid more, even though they are not as competitive.

As for domestic earnings, the men have a professional league that earns money (MLS) while the women do not.

And, this is important to remember. I did NOT cite merit, I cited revenue. The men's team generates more revenue for their owners, leagues, etc. than the women do. Let's put it this way, if you own a AAA baseball team that always finishes below .500 but puts hundreds of fans in the seats every night AND a AA team that always wins its division but only brings out a few dozen spectators for a game, where is the bulk of your investment money going to go? Which team is going to get paid more? Which team is getting the better stadium? No, merit doesn't have anything to do with it.

We do not believe that men and women are equal. Anyone who belives that is stupid and delusional.

It is simply a fact of reality that they are not equal. We do however believe that they have equal rights.

There is no such thing as an equal society and never will be. Sports are designed for many reasons usually for entertainment and money. A truly moral society does not place such oppressive and evil restrictions on people as you suggest
