1. If this thread refers to President Biden's speech this morning (Thursday, May 2), then I feel it was a very sad event.

a. He read the teleprompter speech very well. Kudos!

b. When finished, he reluctantly answered one (two?) questions from the reporters and then walked away.

c. Maybe his handlers told him to avoid any questions, for they feared that he would say something that would get him into trouble.

d. Any other president would have been delighted to take questions in order to emphasize the points made in his speech.
