Israel NEEDS to fight thiis war against HAmas and defeat them 100 %. If they can move civilians out of the way, that isnt ethnic cleansing. If the remain there, then there is a higher chance of collateral damage/deaths.
Which is why Israel typically drops warnings to evacuate, and has given civilians to move south.

Well thats a fact. Israel made their people leave even by gun point if I remember correctly. To allow Palestinians the ability to have it all for themselves. It may have been a grand experiment, and had it been successful It would have given palestinians the chance to get even more land later on perhaps.
Hamas on the other hand saw it only as a chance to have a base from with to attack Israel in return.
