A senior Hamas official insists terror group will “not agree under any circumstances” to a truce in Gaza that does not explicitly include a complete end to the war.

The official, who asked not to be named, also accuses Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “personally hindering” efforts to reach a truce agreement due to “personal interests.”

It is in Netanyahu's personal interest and in the personal interest of every Israeli to be sure this war does not end with Hamas still in power.

Hamas wants Israel to stop fighting. Just Israel. Not them.
In fact, Hamas is still demanding Israel withdraw from Gaza for a hostage deal, which tells us all the bullshit we have been hearing from Biden and Qatar about progress in the talks was just that, bullshit. It is time now to start evacuating civilians from Rafah in preparation for the ground offensive that can end this war by destroying Hamas.

From your mouth to Netanyahu's ears. That is exactly what should be done.

The problem is that the fate of the the hostages rests in the hands of two hardliner zealots: Sinwar, who master-minded 10/7 and Netanyahu who will do anything to remain in power. Netanyahu’s personal interest is protract this war to avoid losing office and facing his corruption charges..

Nonsense. The Israeli people elected this government despite Netanyahu's legal problems, and his current ratings are the result of blaming him for the Oct 7 attack, however as the war progresses his ratings have continued to rise, and he (the coalition) will probably be reelected if he can destroy Hamas and institute Israeli security control in Gaza despite Biden's apparent determination to end this war with Hamas still in power.
