Good!

It as the right thing to do after a far left prosecutor, in a far left city prosecuted him. 🤔 Sounds familiar.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Thursday issued a pardon for Daniel Perry, an Army sergeant who was convicted of murder for fatally shooting a Black Lives Matter (BLM) protester in 2020.

In April, a jury found Perry guilty of murdering Garrett Foster during a July 2020 protest in Austin, Texas. The jury did not find him guilty of an aggravated assault charge.

Perry was sentenced to 25 years in prison, and Abbott asked the state’s parole board to review the case expeditiously. Perry’s conviction and sentencing have angered conservatives, who say he was acting out of self-defense.

The board, appointed by the governor, announced its unanimous recommendation to pardon Perry, and Abbott’s proclamation followed, The Associated Press reported.

In a statement Thursday, the governor said Texas has one of the strongest “Stand Your Ground” laws of self-defense.

The proclamation grants Perry a full pardon and “restoration of full civil rights of citizenship.” Abbott thanked the review board for its unanimous decision.

Glad to see he’s finally out

It’s appalling how lefties can threaten people and get away with it. Not this time.

Next up is Chauvin

Lefties are bloodthirsty … have no care how dangerous a cops job is…scary they are on juries in this country and are motivated by leftist propaganda in the media and Hollywood…like a 8 min clip of Floyd while they disregard the facts.

Why is it that a conviction that the right doesn't like is always done out of partisanship and not because the accused is, you know... guilty?

Not for nothing any city in Texas will very likely have Republicans in the jury, and it takes a unanimous decision to declare somebody guilty.

Undoubtedly the argument of self-defense was put forth by the defense and subsequently rejected by the jury.

There's only one side putting politics in the judicial system.

The right.

And what the governor of Texas is saying, is that it's OK to kill a Black Lives protester, and that no matter what a jury says he will pardon actual KILLERS as long as the victim is a person he doesn't like.

The party of law and order indeed.

The BLM “protester” raised and pointed his AK-47 at a car. The driver, SGT Perry, rightfully defended himself and ended the BLM fag.

It was caught on video and anyone with a brain can see it was self defense. The jury got it wrong, probably coerced by the BLM cabal.

Funny thing that. I can't find any such video. And I looked.

Not only that but I did see messages from Perry that were presented in court where he clearly states he was going there and he might have to kill some protesters. Furthermore. As I said. The self-defense argument was REJECTED by the jury. UNANIMOUSLY.

Many people are glad that the gentleman was pardoned.

Those protesters were blocking the road and threatening people.

The saddest thing, of course, is that anyone could support BLM in the first place!

the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

"
Many people" have decided that partisanship allows them to simply ignore some pretty basic rights.

That does not include blocking the streets.

Nor does being blocked from passing allows for murdering those blocking you. One of these things has pretty permanent consequences. On account of being dead.

As for your claim the victim pointed the weapon at him. This was denied by witnesses. And I'm still very much waiting for ANYONE to provide a video proving otherwise. I've looked and I sure as hell can't find it.

What I could find was Perry literally saying he might kill some protesters on Twitter.
