One of the seven small federal agencies that President Donald Trump ordered downsized or eliminated on Friday was rife with corruption, with its employees hiring friends and relatives, commissioning paintings of themselves, and using government credit cards to indulge in constant luxuries. Inside The Now-Shuttered Federal Agency Where Employees Lived ‘Like Reigning Kings’
Where do I find a job like this where virtually no work is required and ya party all day long
I'd say apply to the federal government but there's a new sheriff in town. The gravy train is no more.

Ask my Republican buddy who won the position of County Clerk. Then gave himself an inflation raise so he makes over $100K now. And before this he was a cop making over $85K, he says. But he's old school. I just looked up how much cops in his town make and they work 30 hour weeks, $27 hr, is only $42,000 a year. I'm sure he will say "they work overtime"

Anyways, there are lots of Republicans who get paid way more than you for a lot less work.

I just texted my cop turned County Clerk buddy if it's true cops in the town he worked now make $27 hr and work 30 hours a week. He replied back that those are part time cops. Not full time.

It never happened?

In 2023, several counties approved cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) for their employees, with some examples including a 4% increase in Flathead County, a 3% increase in Oakland County, and a 5% COLA in Montgomery County.

I found he made $85K and got a 5% raise. So he makes just under $90.

I knew it. Everyone lies. Whatever someone tells you they make, cut it in half. I think everyone in my family thinks I make over $100K and I don't.

My wages are only $60,000/yr. plus a house but my income from all sources is well over $100,000/yr. Did I work for that extra income? Damn right I did.

My best years were 2015 to 2019. 5 years.

Michigan voters approved the legalization of recreational cannabis with the passage of Proposal 1 on November 6, 2018, making it the 10th state (and first in the Midwest) to do so, with the law going into effect on December 6, 2018.

This really fucked me. I was making enough money that I could buy a pound of good weed for $1600 and sell it for $3200. Basically I paid a $100 for an ounce and I charged $200. Today you can go to 3 pot shops in my city and the most expensive weed is $200 an ounce.

This shut me down. I sold a pound a month. $20,000 tax free on top of the almost $100K I was making at my real job. How much is $20,000 tax free? Probably $27,000. This allowed me to not touch my bank account for 5 years. I only spent my weed profits.

And I didn't actually make $20K because I smoked half my profits. But considering I now have to buy weed, that's money too right? Now spend $200 a month on weed. Before I was making $800 and smoking the other half. You know what I mean. I wasn't smoking $800 worth of weed a month but I certainly wasn't worrying about it when it was free. Today at least I try to keep it to 1 joint a day. Before I used to roll 5 and always have 5 joints on me. The good old days.

Now we know how CORRUPT Dems were spending the extra $2 trillion a year post Covid.
Democrats are now planning to fly back all the deported gang bangers and give them all large tax payer paid settlements.

Democrats = traitors

FBI Director Kash Patel applauded Mexican authorities for the arrest and handover of one of the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” suspects, an alleged gang leader from El Salvador.

Francisco Javier Román Bardales is allegedly a senior leader of the Mara Salvatrucha or MS-13 gang. He was arrested Monday in the mountains of the Gulf coast state of Veracruz by soldiers and federal agents.

Román Bardales faces charges related to violent crime, drug distribution and extortion in the Eastern District of New York.

Attorney General Pam Bondi. "Members of MS-13 and similar groups should live in fear knowing that we will hunt them down, prosecute them, and deliver swift American justice for their heinous crimes."

If Trump doesn't execute this guy, he's a big fat pussy.

My 'side hustle' was an 8-unit apartment building. Paid for it in ten years. Kept it for 18 years, from 1994 to 2012, banked every dollar. I bought it to provide for my retirement as my company doesn't offer a plan.

My uncle moved from Canada to Florida 40 years ago. He purchased a 4 unit apartment building. So he was getting rent $ every month for 40 years. He's mid 90's now. And his wife costs him a lot of money. Plus he's getting too old to take care of the rental property. So he sold it for $700K. Now he complains about the taxes he had to pay on the $550 profit he made. So let's say they walked away with $500K after paying all the taxes and closing costs. Nice little nest egg for a guy in his mid 90's. Plus his home is easily worth at least $800K. If they can't take care of themselves they could sell that too and have $1,150,000 to live in an assisted living place.

I love hearing stories like yours. You don't have to go to college to be successful in America. I know lots of people who found other ways to amass a fortune and live the American dream. Very nice!

So many ways to prosper here. However, many require vision and planning, investment, hard work, sacrifice, education, diligence and perseverance, creativity, and often some risk.
