Do you mean that a seed can fall on stoney ground and still grow? (See Parable of the Sower).

That's Baal the harvest god language, notice today they still use the harvesting and seed talk, but seed now = money donations masked by the more favorable less obvious terminology (seed), as they harvest their wealth from their flock.
That being said, the pic has many messages within, from being your own person, surviving in harsh unfavorable conditions, from rising above all else, being alone in the wilderness and still surviving etc etc..

We had such a tree growing out of a sandstone bluff bordering a major highway that stood for decades, but it finally toppled. Is there a lesson there as well?

There's a run going into the Shenandoah River that has a limestone bluff about 500 yards up the run with a old knarred cedar tree sticking out of it.

It's interesting also because there a natural rock "chair" with 1864 carved in it.....No name, just the date.

I bet only a handful of people knows it exists....It made for a great deer stand till your ass got cold. ;)

if you are not well rooted you can in due time fall, as the Roman Empire found out when it lost their identity via allowing those kingdoms it swallowed up topple them from within during it's open border open society phase and failed experiment.

It is interesting you used that tree… I realize that we have been taught that the tree of life is symbolic
for the Torah or Jewish scriptures … This lesson is taught from Proverbs, which uses the term three times, the most famous of which is the saying in Proverbs 3:18: Etz chaim hee l’machazikim bah (“She is a tree of life to those who grasp her”).

Proverbs also likens the “fruit of the righteous” (11:30) and a “healing tongue” (15:4) to a tree of life. Today we can tell by their fruits ( their teachings) whoiswho in today’s world..Sometimes the simplist things are the hardest to grasp…. That tree looks like it has gone through a lot of hardships but in spite of it all it still clings to life no matter where it is rooted and whatever fruits it bears will be good ones that is for sure…
