The anti-gun proponents are relentless. They know they never would achieve their goal by demanding disarmament of the public in one sweeping motion, as it was done in Australia. So they are determined to disarm us one incremental step at a time -- as they've been successfully doing ever since 1934, when the open sale of submachine guns was restricted.
By proceeding one step at a time our Second Amendment protection will be limited to the right to keep one single-shot, bolt-action .22 rifle, chambered for short -- and the bear it in a locked case to and from federally supervised shooting ranges. Access to ammunition for that impotent arm will be restricted and controlled. And it all will exist in full accordance with the text of our right to keep and bear arms.
Little by little.
